Firstly, (very late but no-less grateful) thank you so much to
My request offer is still there for you!
ello, it's been a while~ I've been a bit busy, as I'm sure everybody has also been. Every day I go to work, and then after work all I want to do at home is read some comics, play video games, or sleep. I'm arting so much during the day, when I come home I don't feel like drawing anymore @_@ But I'm trying to prepare prints for conventions this year, so I have to push myself to stop being lazy.
Concerning artist alley prints, I feel like I don't have enough selection. So far all I have are the Kingdom Hearts chibis to sell as bookmarks and postcards. I'm also planning to make L & Raito from Death Note, and Allen from D.Grayman. Do you think it would be too much? Are too many chibi's overwhelming?
I would like to draw non-chibi poster prints, but I don't feel like they'd do very well, nor have I got a lot of time to draw them. What other kinds of prints would you like to see? If you have any series to suggest, or types of items you have bought before, please leave a comment! I don't have very much artist alley experience, so I don't know what people would like to buy. =3=
I just finished watching Nodame Cantabile drama *_* Chiaki-senpai!!! It was very endearing, and makes me wish that I didn't quit piano lessons XD But I tell myself that if I kept up piano, I wouldn't concentrate on art. So instead I'll try harder to improve my art.
I still haven't received my copy of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + (what a long title). It should be arriving this week, but I'm so busy that I probably won't have the time to start playing it anyway. T^T uuu...
And that's so far all that's going on with me.

Thanks for the still standing offer :3 I will think of something at some point but at the moment nothing comes to mind
Wah so lucky to be able to play KH2FM+! T^T
where did you order your KH2FM+ from?
I know how you feel about being drained after work and just want to take a break when you get home. It's a constant struggle to get motivated.. especially if you been working late.
Some things I found useful when balancing work and personal projects.
1. Make them different. It's easier to work on your personal art when it's different from work because your exploring new things and new ideas and that keeps it fresh.
2. Adapting and settling in at work. After a while, you get use to the routine and part of it becomes second nature. You'll be spending less mental energy from being stress, getting use to things and general work ethics. Then you can take these saved up mental energied for personal projects at home.
3. Don't let personal projects become work. Work is what other people want you to do and these usually requires more energy. Work on things you want to do then it'll seem less like work and more like fun.
As for things to sell in the art alley, I would't be too concern about having too many chibi's or what character to work on. Do what you enjoy and it'll help you stay focus. But if what you enjoy is selling tons of prints and people seeing their favorite character.. then by all means do that.
You work a full time job.. by all definitions, you can't be called "lazy"... unless you slack off at work.. which I highly doubt.
How I view the art alley is it's a hobby. Anything that can be finish, is a bonus. My job will always be a priority so if I can't get things completed for the alley, it's not worth worrying about. It's for fun!
i hope you get your copy soon.
